greenhouse zine

For many years Frank de Jong put out an 8 page newspaper timed with each conference, sadly I have no copies of those documents. Highly recyclable, he left no trace. After Phillip Fleischer took over and it became the Greenhouse+ which was printed on standard recycled stock. They managed to sit unnoticed on my bookshelf for 30 or so years.

The May 20 87 document outlines policy procedures, this was from a time when the Green Party of Ontario was officially trying to be the “Ontario Greens” the political arm of the “movement”. Note the article pointing out there are no “movement” members. No Leader, diffuse vision, not allot of members, no surprise.

The Sept issue dealt with a report from the Pigeon Lake Green Party convention, the Canadian constitutional accord and planning for the next federal election.
