A Dufus writes here

These are the thoughts of a retired trades person, mostly deaf and going blind. A poorly indoctrinated child of the 60's taught to think critically, doubt authority and question ideology.

Learning ideology is not education. To Quote Bertrand Russell, "Men are born ignorant, not stupid; they are made stupid by [ideological] education.

Learning can be described as a series of hierarchical steps with foundational knowledge at its base.

Foundational knowledge and critical thinking are the prerequisites for discernment.

The Doof

Doof: pejorative from Low German “deaf”, secondary sense: "idiotic". The Doof does not listen well, prefers monologues and heresy; always looking at the world through a telescope rather than a microscope.

This site is simply a collection of things read, edited and thought about. Mostly said by someone else before. When appropriate referenced, but mostly this site is preparation for my next rant on what ever annoys me.

In other words just another site by a cranky bastard.
